Michel Deneken succeeds to Christine Clerici as President

At the end of the mandate of Christine Clerici, president of Université Paris Cité, Michel Deneken, president of the University of Strasbourg, was elected by the Board of Directors of Udice.

First president of Udice, Christine Clerici becomes vice-president. During her mandate, she defended the proposals of intensive research universities within the framework of the Research Programming Law (LPR) and its implementation, as well as their role for the success of the national recovery plan (now France 2030), in particular with regard to national acceleration strategies (SNA). She also initiated the European and international development of Udice in relation with the partner groups of intensive research universities, whether in Germany or Canada. This was reflected in particular by the holding of a first Forum on March 7 at Aix-Marseille University entitled "Research Universities, the driving force for a Europe of Sciences", punctuated by a strong commitment in favor of international cooperation between universities.

The end of her mandate will finally have been marked by the publication in March 2022 of the "6 Projects for higher education, research and innovation of the 21st century" proposed within the framework of the 2022 presidential election.

While a new government is about to be appointed, Michel Deneken intends to continue the work initiated in a period marked by new challenges.
