Université Grenoble Alpes and Université Côte d’Azur labeled Excellence Initiatives (Idex)

The French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the General Secretariat for Investment (SGPI) officially announced on July 30, 2021 that two Udice members, Université Grenoble Alpes and Université Côte d’Azur, were labeled Excellence Initiatives (Idex). This is a new step in the recognition of the excellence and transformation of French research universities.

Udice congratulates its universities which join the six other universities in the group (Université de Bordeaux, Université de Strasbourg, Aix-Marseille Université, Sorbonne Université, PSL University and Université Paris Saclay) that have already been confirmed as Excellence Initiatives. The latter are part of an ambitious public investment program in a pluridisciplinary Higher Education and Research. It aims at promoting competitive French research universities at an international level.

This labeling reaffirms and salutes the transformation effort made by Udice members to build and develop a new generation of world-class French research universities.
